10 Day Malaysia Cultural, Geography & History Tour
A fantastic tour covering Kuala Lumpur and Penang culture, geography and history. You will visit many historical places plus have the chance to visit a Theme Park and Markets.
You may choose any dates to travel on this tour.
Day 1
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur. Meet your English speaking guide who will welcome you and assist the group with coach transfer to your Hotel.
After check in, you will have some free time to explore the city of Kuala Lumpur.
Day 2
Half day Kuala Lumpur City Tour discovering the exciting landmarks of the city including the King's Palace.
Other landmarks including the National Monument at the Lake Gardens, the National Mosque, Railway at Independence Square and Royal Palace. A photo stop at the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers and the Communication Tower is included.
Visit Petaling Street in the evening followed by the Saloma Theatre Restaurant where you will enjoy Malaysian and International cuisine and cultural show.
Day 3
The Batu Caves and Selangor Pewter Factory are on the agenda today.
The group will have a chance to make their own treasure pewter at the school of hard knocks workshop.
Day 4
Travel 1.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur to the Elephant Conservation Sanctuary located in the beautiful tropical rainforest.
In the evening, visit the Kuala Selangor Fireflies. This is a tourist attraction with many historical sites. At the night the fireflies turn the riverbank into a fairyland and are lit up like christmas trees.
Day 5
Spend the day at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, Asia's best water park. Thrilling rides, wildlife park and more.
Day 6
Set off in the early hours to Ipoh. Enroute we will be visiting Gua Tempurung Caves - one of the most majestic white marble and limestone caves in Malaysia.
Kellies Castle which is a huge mansion will be included in this tour.
Day 7
This morning we will travel to Penang.
Enroute we will visit a famous local coffee mill Aun Tong. Following will be the Charcoal Factory for a guided tour.
In the afternoon we will visit Orang Utan Island which comprises of 35 acres, 5 acres of which has been set aside as a research centre for these endangered primates.
Day 8
We go to Penang Hill this morning by taking the funicular train ride up the Hill at an elevation of 833m above sea level. You will see a panoramic view of Georgetown.
We will embark on our tour of Georgetown, declared as a UNESCO site in 2008. You will see the 3rd longest reclining Buddha figure, Kek Lok Si Temple, Fort Cornwallis, water village of The Clan Jetties at Weld Quay, Pitt Street and Khoo Kong Si clan's house.
Day 9
This morning visit the War Museum. This museum is about education, relic admiration and experiencing events of war. Afterwards we will take a short visit to the Snake Museum.
In the evening we head to Batu Ferringhi Night Markets.
